Much of it comes from the characters themselves, especially Jessica's children. There's a good deal of violence in Shut In, but it's largely subtle. It also offers a heart-tugging redemption arc for Jessica, a flawed heroine who struggles to stay clean and protect her children from evil forces. What hypocrisy.The Daily Wire is testing its fledgling film division with the upcoming release of Shut In. Brett doesn’t want the conversation to be mentioned, simply because he doesn’t care. Quite the privilege to just tell athletes to keep politics out of sports, but then openly support a man who publicly wouldn’t denounce racism, and who Brett said he supported for the sole purpose of freedom of speech. To ask any athlete to just shut up and play is blasphemous. It’s more than just entertaining the spectators. Players and athletes are using their voices and platforms to ignite the discussion and implement initiatives for change.īrett and any other ill-informed viewer need to understand they are human beings first, before being an athletes. What is interesting here is that African Americans and minorities, who continue to fight for social injustices, police brutality, unfair treatment from law enforcement, are scrutinized for protesting and speaking up about the indifferences and looked at as threats based on the color of their skin.
Where was this same distaste for politics then? If Brett cares so much about our soldiers and American patronage, how about keeping that same energy when our minority American troops (Army Second Lieutenant Caron Nazario) are violated, peppered sprayed, and dragged on the ground, not to mention in Uniform as if this is the 60’s. It’s never been about disrespecting the flag.
